Mason Takes a Dump on Fulop...

Last April's $46K purchase in Jersey City, fruitless attempt to sink Steve Fulop

...AGAINSPLAT!

Cash Spill in Aisle 6! (Masons' contribution to Fulop's opponent)
Oh, dear.

It looks like Beth Mason's decided to take her act on the road;  Ricky, pack the sandwiches!

PolitickerNJ reports that Mason is co-hosting a dessert reception for South Jersey Senate President Steve Sweeney (D-3) at next week's League of Municipalities in Atlantic City.

A reader sent me the story with this note:
Dem Gubernatorial showdown for 2017 is Fulop in north vs Sweeney in South. Beth the traitor supported Healy and got crushed. Now she's openly supporting a south Jersey guy over a hometown favorite out of spite. She's going to embarrass herself yet again.

 crazy lady
I'll say.

    2. And let's hope her future in Hoboken politics is dry as a desert, not a dessert!

    3. So Bizarre- Sweeney is a Christie guy. Mason is now turning republican?

"Kean Jr. has been enmeshed in a nasty feud with Senate President Stephen Sweeney (D-Gloucester), who is friendly with Christie and has worked with him on major legislation."

Sweeny being a Christie puppet, wasnt supposed to have an opponent. Kean campaigned for republican candidates to run aganist sweeney, in an effort to pick up a few republican seats in south jersey. Christie stabbed Kean in the back (and by proxy the republican party candidates) by showing little effort or support for the south jersey republicans running against sweeney and his machine. Sweeney won easily.

The backroom story goes something like this-
To pay Kean back for running people against Sweeney, Christie pushed to oust Kean from majority leader. For the first time ever, Republican Assembly fought Christie (on the voting floor)and voted for kean to remain majority leader.

Well if anyone can take down Sweeney- it's the Mason touch.

  3. Age-old story: too much money and nothing to do, so might as well go shopping (for a statewide position). Guess she figures there's (much, much) more of a chance of one from a Gov. Sweeney than a Gov. Fulop.

Meanwhile, every other councilperson representing one ward in a one square mile town spends their days doing their full-time professional jobs. Can you imagine Dave Mello taking time out of the school day to arrange co-hosting a dessert reception for some across-state politico? This woman thinks she's a player when all she's doing in begging for attention. From anyone. Can't Ricky just rent her a friend, like they did with Timmy's PR gal? Matt doesn't count.

    1. Sweeney is a very powerful sell out.

On the upside. She ever tries to stab him in the back, like she did to nearly everyone else, she's toast.

  4. When it comes to politics Beth can't pick her NOSE. Excuse the PUN.
She cannot see the 'forest for the trees' - Healy, Tim O and now Sweeney. Fulop is a rising star and Sen. Sweeney has broken his recorded word many times....

    1. She's hitched her wagon to another loser and made more enemies in her own backyard all to spite Fulop?

    2. It's not that Beth doesn't know better...I think she just doesn't have any choice at this point. The real issue is smart politicians (or people, in general) see through her charade, so she has to resort to palling around with those who have lower standards and looser morals. They are the only ones left who accept her, since they don't really give a crap about her personally but want her money. Smart, serious people realize she's not very bright and a spoiled prima donna, and know her money isn't worth all the baggage that comes along for the ride.
