Dem Committee Raising Cash for Ramos?

What's going on at the Hoboken Democratic Committee?

Don't ask Dana Wefer, the Democratic Comittee Treasurer.  Shes got no idea.

That's the problem.

The HDC's 'Mid-Summer Classic Fundraiser' (see above invitation) was planned without her knowledge; she's been excluded from any role in the event thus far.

The Committee Treasurer is supposed to be the contact person (RSVP) for fundraising events,  with monies directed to the Committee Treasurer.

For example, here's what your standard HDC invitation looks like (coincidentally, GA created this one) with the Treasurer's contact information.  Also note the invitation provides a purpose for the event, tells the reason why money's being raised.

Compare with Cryan's 'Mid-Summer' fundraiser invitation. RSVPs go to Chairman Cryan and Vice-Chair Russo.  Where is Wefer?

The Committee Treasurer is supposed to handle MONIES donated at HDC fundraising events.
Not only has Wefer been excluded from managing the guest list and RSVPs, but her inquiries to Chairman Cryan about this 'Mid-Summer' fundraiser have been met with silence. GA hears that Wefer asked the most basic questions, like "who will be collecting the money" assuming that as Treasurer, she would have some responsibilities, and asking whether the Executive Committee of the Democratic Party will have meeting, etc.

Here was Cryan's response to Wefer:

Further, this was announced by Cryan on his Facebook page first- inviting his 1,400 best friends.   A day later Cryan sent an invitation to Democratic Committee members.

Folks, all this is highly unorthodox.  It suggests a hijacking of the 'neutral' Democratic Committee for partisan purposes in an election year.   If the money is for Barbara Buono, why not say so on the invitation?  Why exclude Wefer, who comes from the 'Reform' side?

The ticket prices $150 - $2,500 are huge. Rumor is that Ruben Ramos is hurting for cash. Michelle Russo is a hardcore Ruben supporter as is Mike Russo.  No Wefer.  It smells, no?

It isn't too late to clear the stink from this fundraiser.  Wefer should assume 'normal' duties as a Treasurer for a Committeee fundraiser and collect any contributions.

C'mon, Jamie.  Fix it.  Elections come and go.  The credibility of an organization and it's leader  doesn't.

  5. How does Jamie set up a fundraiser without his treasurer? Unless Mamma R is running it. Her balls are ten times the size of his.

    1. Nobody that cares would ever take a dime from a fundraiser run by a Russo.

  8. Why does the Corruptocrat's flier say both "Hoboken Democratic Committee" AND "Hoboken Democratic Party" - which is it? With such obfuscation, who would give a dime?

New arrivals of young voters to Hoboken have begun to associate the Democratic Party in Hudson County and Hoboken with corruption - and they'd be mostly correct, steering them toward what's left of the Republican and Independent side of the ballot or towards apathy about voting at all, a theory the poll turnout numbers seem to support.

Is the Currier & Ives image used in their flier in the public domain, or have they stolen that too?

  9. If she wasn't just a pick to sever in that position as part of a deal brokered by Zimmer she would know that the bylaw state HDC can not give to non partisan candidates

    1. Or she is just concerned that considering the reputations of the members of the 2 families running this event, that the bylaws will be flagrantly disregarded. Or even worse, this event will be used as a vehicle to raise money for some partisan candidates and the party will pay for it and pretend it is for their fund raising initiatives.

    2. Stack and Garcia are partisan politicians, no?
Michelle could care less about the gov election.

    3. There are some Democrats running for nonpartisan offices who are desperate for money and sure to show up at any Democratic Party fundraiser with hat in hand hoping a few bucks get sent their way. You are right Michelle could care less about the governor's race but we all know she cares deeply about some local races.

    1. That fool will get suckered into paying for stacks election via her donations to this fundraiser. What an ass she is.

It'll be the Hoboken gotv money for stack's tkt, which will, no doubt, have ramos and his ship of fools names aligned on the t-shirts.

I don't know who is dumber, Mason or Lame, for sticking with her.
