"You cannot legislate character... it's not going to stop me from accepting an illegal bribe from someone"

  1. Unfortunately, for all too many, it is a true statement. Live and learn!

    1. Indeed!

You see that Ramos stands shoulder-to-shoulder with ex-mayor and felon Peter Cammarano, who 'wasn't stopped from accepting an illegal bribe ($25K) from someone' (FBI informant Solomon Dwek) barely 2 years after this video was shot.

In his own words, Ramos takes his ethical cues from Peter Cammarano.

(Hey, do you know who stood up at the City Council and vigorously defended Cammy's right to control the zoning board SIX DAYS after Cammy sold the variances to Dwek?)

  2. I have never assumed that man had an ounce of character. He can operate completely within the confines of the law and I will still continue to believe he has absolutely no character.

    1. Anyone who stands before you and says "That won't stop me from accepting a bribe" has told you all you need to know.

  3. oh my. that's gonna be a tough one to explain...not that any of our local "credentialed media" will have the stomach to ask about it.

  4. Ramos obviously chose his words inartfully, but more instructive is the way he is talking out of all sides of his mouth. Does he support the pay to play legislation or not? It's kind of hard to tell. He seems to be saying "I'm voting for this after having tried really hard to block it because it will pass anyway and I know continuing to oppose it looks bad but I really still oppose it because it won't accomplish anything because people like me will simply ignore it."

Or as was the case with Mike Russo, AGREEING to accept a bribe, otherwise known as conspiracy, a federal offense in and of itself.

And yet they chose not to prosecute him...hmmm...If I were the Masons and those they deal with, I'd be very worried.

  6. What do you think was going through Petey's mind while he was standing alongside Ruben, listening to those word?

What a lovely united front Ruben Ramos and Peter Cammarano are standing shoulder t shoulder in defense of elected officials' right to accept bribes.

You're right Ruben, no one can stop you or your pal Peter Cammarano.

      One down, one to go?

  7. I remember when he said this. What an idiotic thing to say. I hope this takes front and center during the campaign.
