Happy Mothers Day

The best rum cake ever- click HERE for the recipe
Well, folks.  Wherever your mom may be, on earth or in heaven, today is the day to remember all she has done for you and to be thankful.

I'm thanking my mom with this rum cake I baked (her favorite).  Oh, it's so delicious...   buttery... rummy... ooooh la-la.

For those on the campaign trail, remember the day and the sentimental mood of the public.  They probably don't want to see the candidates tearing at each others' balls.  Save that for tomorrow.

All I really want to say is this:

I love you, Mommy.

(One more the thing: I substitute the walnuts for slivered almonds)

  1. Happy Mother's Day - Some would even take exception to this greeting if they based its content on my name. It's the content of one's message that counts. "Our favorite messengers are somethims wrong and our least favorite messengers are sometimes right. It's sometimes worthwhile to pay a lot more attention to what is being said, and a lot less to the identity of the person who is saying it." - Cass R. Sunstein, The Robert Walmsley University professor at Harvard Law School - Today's Ledger.

    1. Beg pardon for sometimes typo missed by poor eyesight.

    2. Indeed, Anon! And that's the beauty of being an Anon. Thank you so much for your Mothers Day wishes.

    3. Your welcome GA - Enjoy the day and life with your lovely daughter.
