Was there cell reception where you were? I could only get a bar or two with booster my father has attached to motorhome. It was nice being mostly off grid.
No cell reception, no internet. I enjoyed being off the grid too except suffered severe texting withdrawal. Of course, trying to have a substantive conversation via text should not be attempted.

The first year LA caught zilch... then we discovered the magic of live bait (earthworms). We dug them up ourselves. Gross, but... WOW. So I nicknamed her the Lunch Lady, serving meals for the small price of a hole in the head!
