  1. Patrick Ricciardi lived in a brand new luxury condo and made $200k a year barely breaking a sweat.

    It wasn't enough.

Lane Bajardi, while not especially creative, worked his way into a small fraternity of reliable news readers in the best media market in the country and could have had a real, interesting, and well-compensated job for life.

    It wasn't enough.

Perry Klaussen at one time did have the #1 site in town and everyone was there forming a community that survives to this day and is the backbone of reform.

    It wasn't enough.

Mike Novak had a successful business, was president of the Chamber of Commerce, threw expensive bashes in the best places in town, and has remarkable children.

    It wasn't enough.

Mr & Mrs Mason rake in $6 or $7 million a year, live in a beautiful home in the best part of town, and have 2 lovely daughters. Mrs Mason could have been an important and long and fondly remembered voice in reform but never the voice in reform.

    It wasn't enough.

Now they will lose most if not all they have. I wonder if they will ever have the moment of insight that Nixon had. I suspect not.

  2. Well said, Info. Pathologically self- destructive self-centeredness.

I'd suggest that when Mason is made to go away (whether by recall or by the FBI), it will be more like Nixon's earlier victim-speak, as in: "You won't have Beth Mason to kick around anymore."

And a variation on the same theme for all the others too.
