Paula at Pier A

Look who NJ Governor Christie sent to represent him at yesterday's 9-11 service at Pier A... our gal, NJ Attorney General Paula Dow.

Paula's got a lot of fans here in Hoboken.

In fact, we've been waiting for the Big Sweep; the day Federal agents raid the Mile Square, handcuffing our rubbish then stuffing it into their SUVs for the drive to Newark; rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat, until our city's left broom-clean and sparkling.

On that day, perhaps we'll see Paula standing beside our Mayor on the steps of Hoboken City Hall answering questions from the press.

But not on 9-11.

Yesterday Dow was at the Mayor's side not for cleansing crime but cleansing souls.   She came to pray with us: for the victims of 9-11, for Hoboken's lost 57, for the brokenhearted.

Witnesses say she and the Mayor seemed to enjoy a cordial relationship. Quite.

It will be a different kind of day altogether when the NJ Attorney General returns to Hoboken. With her broom.

I've heard from a couple of sources this day's coming "soon".

One says "about a month."

I know, I know.  But GA's Magic 8-Ball is at the repair shop, so I've got to rely on my sources.

  1. I was hoping that she would have stopped by and have a chat with Tim.

  2. Colorful commentary, GA. Kurt looks so distinguished now that he's gone gray, but I'm still seeing red about the whole vote buying thing. Will it be whitewashed and the yellow bellies get away? Then I'll be blue because vote buying not the kind of "green" program Hoboken needs. If only our elections were so black and white that we didn't need "black and whites" to round up the "black hats" in town.
