GA had a schlockgasm on hearing that Countess Schlockula and the Schlockettes gave their underfunded, state-spurned schlock a big thumbs-up at tonight's taxpayer-funded schlock-fest.
Yep, 5 thumbs raised high in the air, against the advice of Corporation Counsel- who's definitely not a schlockmeister- for an illegal vote on a budget the DCA sent back in a bag of manure with a note saying, "Try again".
Schlocking, you say?
I'm schlocked, too. Such brazen, lawless behavior- a finger in the eye of the Governor, his Attorney General, the U.S. Attorney, the DCA - in the midst of an FBI investigation; contempt for the rule of law by (likely) persons-of-interest on the City Council.
Schlocktastic.
A dazzling display of petulance, incompetence, immaturity and.... schlock.
If they were still the majority you would have to take this as a plea to have a fiscal monitor return to Hoboken because obviously we have a flagrant disregard for the law, our own financial obligations, and the institutions of state governance from which we are required to gain approval for our decisions.
ReplyDeleteIn short we can't wipe our own ass, come do it for us.
Scene: An Old Guard Councilperson's residence somewhere in Hoboken

OGCM: "Same bullshit, working on the 2013 campaign"
Spouse: "How'ed that go?"
OGCM: "Sucked. They're really, REALLY getting carried away with doing things legally down at City Hall"(throws hands in air)
Spouse: "Umhuh, umhuh, was that new one, that Giattino woman there tonight?"
OGCM: "Will you please shut the hell up?!"
Spouse: "What'ed I do?!"
