Deep Uvula: Smug Times

You know, as much as I adore that loquacious orb, Deep Uvula, there are days I want to grab him/her by the fleshy pink sac and yank hard.

Today is one of those days. See what you think.

Here's the latest from deep inside:

Coming down to the wire.  Those dumb yuppies are still looking for volunteer challengers!  Told you they had no troops to run the election day battle. We got plenty.

Funny about the whining and the crying about posters.  Too bad – politics has a price to pay in Hoboken.

Gotta love Beth and her checkbook, but she spends money like a drunken sailor sometimes.  For all the primping and coaching for the debates, she was flapping her hands around like a chicken on crack. Good thing she has money, she won’t make it on skills. But she is stuck like glue to us now.  No way she can go anywhere else.

Get ready, more tricks are coming. It’s Wednesday.

The 'posters' reference has nothing to do with commenters on blogs or internet message boards.

It has to do with shopkeepers being intimidated by men in uniform to take down campaign posters for ' non-aligned' candidates.

Yup. Ask around.

  1. Dear G.A.

What's the deal with the "men in uniform" who are supposedly intimidating shopkeepers? Are they members of the Hoboken Police or Fire Safety Departments? These so-called shopkeepers seem to be scared sh-tless very easily; it must be the uniform.

If this allegation is true, it is totally outrageous, like every other tactic employed by the Russo-Mason cabal. How do these people look at themselves in the mirror each morning, knowing what what they are doing is illegal and immoral? Didn't Michelle and Anthony teach their son Michael to play by the rules? What about Beth Mason's parents who grudgingly (they are divorced and hate one another) made a commercial for the first Mayoral election in 2009 about just how wonderful and honest and talented their daughter is?

I am so sick and tired of having this town run by people who must lie and cheat and buy votes to attain their positions. Hopefully, there are thousands of other residents out there who, by now, are as sick and tired of it as me and who will vote Russo, Mason, Castellano,Giacchi and Castellano out of office. If anyone wrote a novel based on what goes on in this town during elections, the rest of the State and the Country would never believe it.

  2. I'm one of you, Rudy. So now we know there are 2, and hopefully many more. I own a condo, but there isn't much point living here any more if all my money is doing is subsidizing "them."

  3. The use of uniformed officers to intimidate shipowners has happened for years. When Dawn ran for mayor we specifically avoided stores and concentrated on homes.

  4. Wow, SS1959:

Thanks, SS1959, I didn't know that. I suppose I should have guessed that this type of intimidation has been going on for years. It is quite astonishing and amazing to me that these methods of intimidation still exist...it's like Hoboken's in a major league time-warp when it comes to crooks, swindlers and vote buyers.

  5. Sad to say that SS is right, from personal experience.

  6. That can't be true. Timmy says he's having no trouble getting his signs posted.

"Special thank u to #Hoboken 4th Ward businesses for supporting my candidacy by displaying our signs! Signs are in, stop by HQ for yours!"
