Do you think I'm a nasty girl?

  2. GA, is that you in the green dress?

Ply, if you haven't seen it, check out the great profile of him in The New Yorker, about 6 wks. ago. He's a brilliant, tragic figure.

  3. Oh, MBB. I thought I left that look in the 80's.

  4. It's still a good look and a great video.

  5. Al, honey... you may have watched 'Flashdance' one too many times.

    She's a maniac, maniac...

  6. Having met you finally, I agree -- you are a maniac

  7. Flatterer. I'll bet you say that to all the maniacs.

  8. We both left it back then, GA.

(Buzzed, w/a gel'd cockatiel plume. But NO shoulder pads. Always got me past those velvet ropes....)

As for you & Sully, your fast & furious mutual fan club is almost an embarassment.

Give him some banana bread already, will ya?

    XO,
    MBB

  9. Al should be eating crow not banana bread, but he's more than made amends in our discussions about what's over and done.

So, no crow for you, Al!

And I am not a professional grudge-holder, just an amateur. Most of my grudges last about 5 minutes-- with a few exceptions, and you know who you are.

My apologies if the love-fest here is getting you nauseous, but after the public screwing I got back in April, allow me to enjoy some public vindication.

  10. MBB:
Politics is not a place for the faint of heart. GA hits people HARD. So her opponents are going to hit hard back.
I have recently read the turd post in full, and realized how funny it was. But it gave ammunition to the enemy to strike back with a strong symbol -- ie this woman post turds.
It was funny, but it got turned back on GA.
One of the voices behind Hudson Shark took personal the wedding registry gambit, seeing it as crossing the line between personal.
GA's enemies aren't as clever as GA is, and so they come after her with crude remarks.
I never got crude -- even when at first, I didn't see the humor. Frankly, I always saw the blogger battle between Sharks, horses and grafix advengers as something out of a comic book, which was the point I tried to make.
GA should never have felt hurt by what I did. I can't answer for the others -- they are interested in gaining or retaining power, which is always a vicious game. I'm not.

  11. Al... "GA should never have felt hurt by what I did"?

    Really? Check again.

The piece read like a political hit, from the mouths of anti-Zimmer political operatives, stating I was 'misbehaving' and she should somehow 'control' me.

Well, you know now NO ONE controls me, GA doesn't carry anyone's water. Liking Zimmer (I do) does not put me in her pocket. You know all that stuff now.

    Another objectionable bit:

"“Grafix Avenger” has posted personal information on the blogs about one suspect along with vicious personal attacks on other public and non-public officials whom the Avenger perceives as enemies of Zimmer."

The 'suspect' participated in my outing and the posting of personal information about me on internet message boards. Anything I did was purely responsive and an effort to find out who this person is. Mind you, I never posted his name on GA, as mine still sits on his site.

It was a hit job from the mouths of 'enemies' without my having a fair hearing.

So, I think my response to that piece was entirely legit.

  12. I agree with the "a hit job from the mouths of enemies without having a fair hearing."
I have since recanted the idea that anybody should "control" you, since it is clear that it would be an impossible task -- even if desireable. Since I don't believe in censorship, this flies in the face of my own beliefs.
Your satire guts people, hitting us at our most vulnerable -- and it is likely to cause a sharp reaction.
But it is clear that I got spun into believing one side of the argument.
Personal information should not be part of any campaign on either side.
Since I disagree with "unnamed" posts regardless of what side, I'm caught in the middle on that one.
I do not disclose those I know only because I promise not to, not because I believe attacking people from behind a bush is fair or right.
I always use my real identity.
Since I can't keep track of who did what first, I went after both the shark and GA, perhaps mistakenly getting too much imput from the shark and not enough from GA.
    That won't happen again.

  13. Good that you've sorted this out now, Sully.
I find GA as whip-smart, creative, insightful & hilarious as they come. By far, the best of the local, personal blogs.

You don't need to tell me about Hudson Co. politics & heart-faintness. While I choose to remain anonymous (I have good reasons), let's just say I've had my share of experience with the cesspool that is Hudson Co. politics.

And now I deliberately don't. Now, I just observe, sometimes comment, and read/support those I admire (like GA, Infotainme, & a few others).

As I've written numerous times before, I find Hoboken The Mile Square Inpatient Unit.

It's good to get out of the loony bin.

  14. Thanx, MMB
But since I'm still in the center of this looney bin, I'll have a hard time keeping my moral compas straight.
