Hoboken Reporter damage control for Parents United

Election 2015: Al Sullivan disparaging bloggers as "like drug addicts," "snipers," "pointless," "have no influence," etc.

Hoboken Reporter has a way of stepping over the [Editorial] line on the weekend before an election.

They did it again this year.

Whether it's:
  • Editor Caren Matzner making pro-Reform letter-writers jump through hoops to get letters  published (and still, Matzner added content to one letter to soften it- stay tuned!) or
  • Al Sullivan "shooting from behind rocks to attack [his] enemies"
...their objective is the same.

Every election eve, the Hoboken Reporter puts its editorial foot on the scale to tip the election toward  its beloved 'Old Guard' candidates.

In 2015,  The Hoboken Reporter, Volume 33 Number 11, November 1, 2015 published "Citizen Grossbard"  the weekend before the Nov. 3, 2015 municipal election.  Sullivan 's column was a tawdry pre-election clubbing of the mayor's husband and Reform bloggers.  It's true.  Sullivan wrote: this lie: "the [Grossbard] emails show that he... may have given information to and advised some of the pro-Zimmer bloggers..."  Really, Al (a.k.a. Mr. Pants-on-Fire)?   GA  proved Sullivan was lying when I obtained the leaked email package' myself and published the only (2) which mentioned me or in which my name appeared.

So, in today's issue of The Hoboken Reporter, the last one prior to Tuesday's presidential/BoE election....

Here comes sniper Al Sullivan- out from behind his rock!

AL Sulivan does not cite a single fact

Well folks, you be the judge whether the following posts are "misinformation" or whether The Hoboken Reporter is doing damage control for Parents United:

Let's recap:
You see what happens when The Hoboken Reporter puts its foot on the scale at election time?

It ends up in its own mouth.

  1. As soon as I read the nov 2015 I contacted them to discontinue my delivery. They were very good about it and it's never returned.

I would recommend that anyone still receiving it do the same. Discontinue delivery and tell them it is specifically because of meddling in elections.

    1. The HR has stopped delivery to me and many of my neighbors. Maybe they saw how they'd get tossed without removing their protective sleeve, or noticed that they were piling up outside of the apartment buildings, unread. Either way, they're not read or respected any longer.

  2. Excellent idea. They should be ashamed of themselves.

  3. GA, why are you dignifying Al Sullivan with relevance?

    1. Ha! Any dignity or relevance conferred upon that partisan fish wrap was unintentional. But you know, there's an obligation to pass what we've learned the hard way onto the next generation, before we elephants head off to the graveyard.

    2. Al Sullivan is a living legend and the journalistic icon of our generation. He is not bought and paid for like the political hack bloggers. Al's forgotten more than you'll ever know. Now go make robo calls from the Mayor's office. Next time try to making them from the diamond district. Bunch of jackasses.

    3. 9:39- that sounds like loser talk. Takes one paid hack loser (you) to know another paid hack loser (Al). Don't you have some cockroaches, mice, rats and vermin to chase out of your dive bar? Is it true you make ice from the toilet bowl water?

    4. Al Sullivan the award winning journalist who sets the standard for his profession. Unlike these political degenerates. First the BOE then City Hall when Romano becomes Mayor. What poetic justice it will be since Zimmer and that skinny fraud husband of hers pushed him into retirement. It will all come full circle. Enjoy it while it lasts because your days of terror are coming to an end.

  4. Also letting one slate (PU) publish letters two weekends in a row (this week and last) when the HR's own rules (on page 22 of this weekend's paper) state: "#4. A candidate and campaign managers may publish letters at most once every other week during election season."

  6. If the man really wanted to talk about dirty tricks, he'd talk about vote farming. Nothing in Hoboken politics is dirtier than the usual suspects passing out money for votes.

    1. Was it vote farming when Dawny Sunshine gave out lottery tickets for votes?

    2. No it wasn't, ass-wipe. Worried about Tuesday?

    3. were all the lottery tickets 50 dollar winners?

    4. No they were the fake kind that when scratched said go f--k yourself. Kind of like what Dawn the pawn said to good government promises when she was elected.

  8. Al Sullivan is the biggest liberal hippy one will ever meet and you compare him to Trump? Even for your dumb ass that is beyond stupid.

  9. Al Sulluvan has had a creepy bromance with "Stick" Romano for a long time.

  10. I received a call from Mayor Zimmer yesterday requesting that I vote for the 1-2-4 slate. This call from the "City of Hoboken" number. Honest question, is this type of campaigning allowed to be done on the City's dime? Also, in the message, Mayor Zimmer said that all of the mothers on the 1-2-4 slate send their children to Hoboken schools. I have heard that this is not true and that one of the candidates has opted out of our school system. I don't believe everything I hear so I just want to get the facts before I vote tomorrow. Thanks!

    1. Check MSV for Mayor Zimmer's clear as glass statement and that phony
diversion will disappear like stick sinking into the mud.

    2. So true, 9:54. Stick Romano promised me that his PU ticket would stop attacking children. That's the sign of a weak leader- a guy who cannot control his people. In fact,it seems his people have no respect for him at all. I guess he's hit the "ass" ceiling.

    3. Stick is not the "leader" of anything including this ticket. He's hoping to become the Peter Cammarano (circa June runoff) of 2017 - a guy with no constituency whatsoever of his own who becomes the compromise candidate of a unified Old Hoboken slate.
