Mason hosting Sweeney fundraiser in Hoboken

The rumor was true!

In a move reminiscent of the Masons' 2013 cash-dump into Jeremiah Healy's campaign coffers (a giant "F*ck you!" to his opponent Steve Fulop,)  Beth Mason is holding a fundraiser for Fulop's chief Democratic rival for governor, Stephen Sweeney at her Hoboken home.

Wow, my people call that chutzpah.

On the evening of June 9, who aside from the Hostess with the Least-est will show up to take a dump in Fulop's backyard?

For those inclined to shit on Steve Fulop, the options are $5,000 for a Jumbo-turd, and $1,000 for a regular one, which you can stuff in an envelope and mail to yourself.

Now, GA doesn't know Sweeney, but his choice of friend (singular) does not recommend him.

Trust me, Steve: take the money, get the crazy.

The crazy sometimes comes with other stuff...

Interesting that the June 9 fundraiser is being hosted at the same address as the non-profit 501(c)3 Mason Civic League, Inc.

The Mason Civic League, Inc annually reports gross receipts less than $50,000 on e-Postcard returns, though it holds  a "community space" in a double-wide storefront on Washington Street in Hoboken.

Why is a private fundraiser for Sweeney's SUPER-PAC being held at a 501(c)3?  One which reports gross receipts less than $50,000.

  1. WTF is L Weinberg associating herself with the well known ELEC violators, the Masons? The company one keeps speaks volumes.

  2. I second that. What the hell is wrong with her?

  3. A tax-exempt charity hosting Sweeneys SuperPAC, that's a new one. Not surprised coming from ELEC lawbreakers Beth and Ricky Mason.

    4. Wacky Murphy? You mean the only guy who isnt in everyone's pockets or politically connected to the corruption that is Jersey politics?

  6. Weinberg was the author of the VBM legislation, with all the loopholes, that allowed "Occupintay" to be elected, and she wouldn't amend it even after the problems were pointed out to her. And so, she is one of the reasons why many former democrats in Hudson County now vote Republican.

On another note, the Masons never have a political party but that it piggy-backed onto a personal event, enabling them to take both as tax write-offs. See: bat-mitzvahs; daughters. Check the calendar for June 10th.

  7. IMO- After years of failure after failure, humiliation after humiliation, and millions of dollars flushed down the drain in search of some sort of ego inflation, the Masons are still pathetic.

  8. Just a guess: this gets reported as a tax-exempt Civic League event.

  9. A better tomorrow for New Jerseyans will be the day when the Masons leave. Weinberg or her staff didn't vet this one very well, if at all. Why would a major player in Bergen County politics give a failed councilwoman, who hasn't been in office for over a year, and when she was, everything she touched turned to shit, the time of day?

  10. Street Money Mason, ELEC lawbreaker whose operative gave $2k in a bag plus $500 hush money (and a thumb drive) for the Nazi Truck to drive around Hoboken flashing swastikas for the 2012 Move Forward campaign. Masons Nazi Truck bagman is Treasurer of her 501c3. The same 501c3 hosting the SUPERPAC. Maybe Beths Nazi Truck bagman will shake Sweeney's hand on June 9. Beth Mason never apologized to Hoboken's Jewish community and it's two rabbis who condemned her Nazi Truck. Maybe she'll apologize on June 9? Does Sweeney endorse Mason's use of swastikas in a political campaign? First time EVER in Hoboken.
