"Garcia for Assembly's" $384K in "aggregate" contributions- what does Campos know?

Assemblyman Garcia's party at Teak
The holes in Carmelo Garcia's 2015 ELEC filings are big enough to drive a truck full of Happy Meals through.

Between 33rd Legislative District Assemblyman Garcia's announcement to run for the 6th Ward council seat on August 6, 2015 until the November 3 election, Garcia for Hoboken Council spent conspicuously on fundraisers, a block party, voluminous direct mailers, letters, campaign literature, signage, door knockers, coffee giveaways, custom Halloween goody-bags  and a massive GOTV presence on Election day.

And what expenditures has Garcia for Hoboken Council reported to date?

$10,150.44*.

Trick or treat
So, where did all the money or in-kind donations come from to pay for Garcia for Hoboken Council's  lavish expenditures?

GA has no idea.

Meanwhile, Carmelo Garcia's other ELEC account, Garcia for Assembly, reported on April 21, 2015 a sudden 'uptick' in  $384,043.84 in "aggregate contributions" (Schedule A) which "disappeared" on the next ELEC filing, dated October 8, 2015...

Why would a tsunami of "aggregate contributions" be reported on one period, and disappear the next?

GA has no idea.

Two weeks after Assemblyman Carmelo Garcia announced he was running for Hoboken 6th Ward Councilman, his Assembly Chief-of-Staff, Christopher Campos, opened a TD Bank account for 2007's  "Friends to Re-Elect Christoper Campos."  Why?

GA has no idea.

What was happening at the Assembly and here in Hoboken at the time Garcia for Assembly's unusual April 21 financial activity was reported?

GA can answer that, with a timeline of events before, during and after the unusual financial activity reported on April 21 by Garcia for Assembly.    The timeline will show us this "aggregate contribution uptick" was reported shortly after Garcia was replaced by Annette Chapparo on Stack's ticket.

Will the questions about where all the money washing into the 6th Ward race came from ever get answered?

GA lives in Hoboken's 6th Ward, and I would like to know.

  2. What are the chances the 9 people had anything close to $42k to just throw at some political stooge in Trenton? Sounds like the list of senior citizens who didn't know they bought all that land in Chinatown.

  5. Carmelo ran in the Lincoln Tunnel Challenge yesterday.

His "goal" was a grand total of $500 for himself and 2 family members. Gone are the $42k donors. He "raised" $150, no doubt writing a $50 check each for himself and the others. To avoid further humiliation as the repellent toxic figure he has become even among former supporters, he didn't bother to mention he was raising money until the morning of the race.

    The fate of all rats.

    1. If you want Carmelo to run faster, just run behind him wearing a Baseball cap with the FBI logo on it

  6. It's unlikely that those huge aggregate donations were ever made to an Assembly race. Those figures don't even appear in a gubernatorial race. Anyway, ELEC, as well as the AG, should be investigating all of this. Wherever any of the money is, it is unlikely -- when Garcia and Campos are involved -- to be in the proper place or spent for which it was intended.
