Earwitness Rumor: a Waxy Forecast

This just in... an Ear-witness reports saloon-keeper Councilwoman Elizabeth Mason has rented another Hoboken storefront.

According to the Earwitness,  Mason's new space is the former site of Mackey Blue, 1200 Washington Street (on 12th Street between Bloomfield and Washington.)

If that address sounds familiar, the new space is around the corner from registered charity, Mason Civic League., Inc.

Earwitness rumor: Mason leasing new space a stone's throw from her 501c3, Mason Civic League

Assuming our Earwitness is not full of wax, then what could this mean for Hoboken?

A new retail business?

Could be, but GA doubts it.  The Masons' $11,200 dump for smear mailers attacking 6th Ward  incumbent Jen Giattino shows the duo's desire to wreak havoc for Hoboken Reform has not waned.

Not to mention on November 17,  Mason co-hosted her 3rd consecutive big Sweeney bash at the League of Municipalities convention in Atlantic City.

Does anyone think the rumored new space will be selling potpourri?

More likely a home for her PAC "Real Democrats for Hoboken,"a Stephen Sweeney campaign office (a big 'f-you' in the heart of Fulop-country), and/or a Hillary Clinton presidential campaign office.

Who knows.

While it appears Mason isn't done with Hoboken politics, the city has turned away from her brand of poison.  We are done with her.  Arguably, her 4 nasty direct mailers turned out voters for Giattino.  Mason can rent a city-block of storefronts, it won't make a difference.

  1. Just guessing but the Mason Family clubhouse on Washington Street is expensive real-estate and that will be rented out to some sort of retail.
Besides the side street location will allow the those coming and going a greater degree of anonymity as I think few people in Hoboken would want to be publicly associated with the Mrs. Richard G. Mason.

  2. I heard she is opening up a Hillary Clinton campaign hq.

  3. She could always transfer her liquor license from that dump in Weehawken to 1200 Washington and open up a decent, classy place as an alternative to that vermin ridden shit-hole, a real hooker magnet. Just my OPINION.

    1. U kidding? No decent hooker would set foot in that joint. Their roaches are so tough they got teeth. I got attacked by a fly so big I mistook it for a bat.

    2. Beth already has a dive bar in Weehawken with her business partner StinkBoy. This will be different. No drugs in the back or anything untoward, other than the usual collection of freaks, weirdos and pedophiles who like to watch big men in tights.

  4. Beth Mason makes me sad to be a Democrat. I'll vote for Hillary but it will have nothing to do with Beth's local efforts. I can just see her "WE DID IT!!" ads if Clinton wins. Nitwit.

  5. If the 11 arson murders in that building in 1981 weren't bad enough for the property values, Mason is now the sole retailer? Talk about bringing down the neighborhood. http://www.hobokenfire.org/fires.cfm

    1. Such a tragic history, now a haunting by Mason ghouls? You bring the sage, Ill bring the holy water.

  6. Anyplace Mason goes is a crime scene, and she wouldn't care a whit that almost a dozen people, children included, were murdered twenty or so feet above where she is now hosting children's events or daycare, or some other probably unlicensed enterprise, or the fact that the people she rubs shoulders with were part of that scene back in the day. But with all of those retail storefronts, it begs the question, just what the hell is she selling?

    1. Not her soul, in MY OPINION she hasn't one left to sell.
