How Mason tanked Carmelo (and "The Truth About Jen")

Consolation prize

We'll probably never know how much loot Councilwoman Beth Mason dumped into Carmelo Garcia's campaign, but we do know her PAC, Real Democrats For Hoboken, paid for 4 full-color, 81/2" x 11" fliers.

GA  has a reasonable basis to believe that Mason "business partner," a rotten, Weehawken fish filet named James Barracato, coordinated the content, production and mailing of the fliers for candidate Carmelo Garcia.

In fact, Barracato's rhetorical fin-prints are ALL over the 4 mailers. Each mailer highlights a Mason sweet spot; dredged-up talking points that flopped when they debuted on Hoboken411 years ago.  Not only didn't these talking points resonate then, but recycled on the 2015 mailers, they are a calling card.

Everything about these 4 fliers- gratuitous nastiness, pandering to the lobotomized and lies- are the hallmark of a Mason/Barracato campaign.

Picturing Jen clutching a beer bottle or stuffing her decapitated head inside a parking meter  or claiming Jen stopped Hoboken from banning assault weapons or accusing Jen of going to the Superbowl or repeatedly calling her "crazy"  warning that "we must stop her once and for all...." is vintage Mason/Barracato.

These over-the-top negative, mean-spirited, juvenile mailers hit all the wrong notes for Carmelo Garcia. They  evoked sympathy for Giattino, pissed people off.     Rule #1 in politics: don't make voters hate your candidate.

So, if  Garcia ever had a CHANCE of beating Giattino, GA believes these "Real Democrats for Hoboken" fliers TANKED him.

GA also wonders if the "CONCERNED CITIZEN" anti-Carmelo flier triggered the fusillade-of-stupid.  Bang bang bang bang. The first Mason flier came a few days after the "CONCERNED CITIZEN" one and  it looked hastily done, like cobbled-together crap.

Folks, if only that were all.

THE TRUTH ABOUT JEN
In early October, a letter went out to the media in a plain, white envelope- no name, a P.O. box and the title "The Truth About Jen."  I could not obtain a copy of the letter.  I heard the "truth" was a "smear."

Apparently in the final week of October, "The Truth About Jen" letters arrived in 6th Ward mailboxes.  Jen's neighbors got them, and here is a copy of one sent to a 5th Ward resident.  The letter is on a single sheet, double-sided.

Thank G-d, the Carmelo Garcia campaign LOST.

Love ya, "Jen Girl."  Congratulations.

  3. It's really hard to believe anyone with any political campaign skills created that, it reads like a screed from Hoboken's own Button Man. I swear, it's as if Team Carmelo never left high school and believe this type of idiotic, juvenile nonsense will actually influence people. What morons. This is the kind of dumb OG behavior Sarah and the Bajardis pulled their hair out about in lots of the SLAPP email you've posted.

    1. BTW, leading Hoboken credentialed media news source H411 still hasn't reported on the election results. Cuz if Das Fluffer doesn't write about it, IT DIDN'T HAPPEN, I guess LOL!

  6. First off, the graphic is hysterical. Paired up with the wincing Gandhi so you can decide which is your favorite. I love them both.

On to Jen's deceitfulness, it's even worse than imagined. Obviously she wrote that letter herself with the intention of making her opponents look like deranged morons. The crack about republicans was sure to hit home in a ward where elephants are a common sight. Oh she knew what she was doing all right.

And it worked. People who were planning to stay home during the election high-tailed it to the polls after they started getting those Keim Family greeting cards.

The rest is what you see in the paper - a once-promising political career snuffed out by an absolutely filthy campaign that made him an unelectable pariah in his own ward.

Surely it was someone else's fault.

      FUCK OFF, STALKER.

Go find something else to do with yourself that doesn't involve me or reaching into your pants or both simultaneously.

    3. As the woman hired to to stand in front of the Mason Family Civic Center dispense candy and those orange bands Halloween said to each child:
"Take the bracelet so you know where the candy came from."

Mrs. Richard G. Mason has always believed that no good deed should ever go unpublicized no matter what it costs.

    5. Not since Yorick's skull was pondered by Macbeth has something the likes of Mason pondering her boy toy's next Happy Meal (depicted with full stage energy, great grafic by Grafix Avenger), and such a reportedly ill-advised underwritten anti-Giattino smear campaign been so epicly foolish. Why the expenditures? Silly and stupid. Can't money Stick to Ricky Boy/ Paycheck? Is he immune to saying "no" to poor investments? Well, she got her last round of media attention, you've got to give the pariah that, she probably single-handedly kept Garcia from being elected, and the personal vanity run around the polling places on election is secoond to none in it's pathetic 'look at me' sense. The delusion is she thinks she is still a playa. Should have underwritten Biancamano then, fool. We can only guess she thought Garcia could get her something on the county level, other than investigated.
      Score: World:1, Mason negative 1.
