'Dunkin' Garcia violates NJ Election Law

Carmelo Garcia for City Council threw a $300/person fundraiser at Mikie Squared on August 5, 2015.

According to NJ election law, Garcia should have filed Form D-1 on or before August 15, 2015:

Would it surprise you that Carmelo Garcia's "Municipal Office 2015" ELEC folder is EMPTY?

Garcia's campaign hasn't filed a D-1 Form since the candidate began raising and spending money.

Spending on what?

Oh, this 5.5" x 8.5" full-color, double-sided glossy campaign lit...

The block party he hosted this weekend...

And the "free" coffee he reportedly handed out this morning at Dunkin Donuts...

Garcia has blown through a considerable amount of money, and it's not even October.

How much money has he gotten, and from whom?  How much has he spent?

Why isn't Garcia obeying election law, and filing his D-1 with ELEC?

What do you think?

In Hoboken one thinks of election laws as, say, earnest suggestions. One may follow or not follow as dictated by conscience.

It should come as no surprise that candidate Garcia is no follower! He's a leader.

Please remember that despite candidate Garcia's intense, secretly funded campaign, when all is said and done he will lose easily to Giattino. Therefore there is no need to volunteer for her campaign to address the seeming imbalance of ground game. We're losing and losing big - trust me..... Congratulations in advance on your well-deserved victory to Ms Giattino!

  3. Mr.Carmelo don't need to follow no stink'n rules.

He don't. He won't. Just stop watching him.

  4. Why do you self-proclaimed reformers insist Carmelo follow the law?
He's not followed the law in years. Why should he start now? After all, him and Michael Russo specialize in breaking the law.

Stupid reformers. The Carmelo Ticket is taking back Hoboken!

Those donuts are racist. Ony the chocolate and strawberry frosted ones are oppressed with sprinkles, and the cream filling is white. Louis Z., can we sue the whole box?

  6. Paperwork does not appear to be this guy's forte. He is more an "idea" guy. Of course most of his ideas pretty much suck.

  7. Mr. Carmelo showed up late and walked out of the debates an hour early last night to go hang out in a bar.
