6th Ward white people

Anybody curious how Carmelo Garcia's lawsuit alleging that Mayor Zimmer, Dana Wee-fer and David Mello are white and affluent, will go over in a ward which is (generally) white and affluent and (generally) supports the Mayor?  Garcia may hope to win the hearts and minds of those African-American voters living in Church Towers- oh wait, he moved.

It's true, not all 6th Ward voters are white and affluent, but we are intelligent life forms. We recognize crap on our shoe.

Okay...  whatever you say...

We can, we will, watch us...vote for Jen Giattino

  1. When all you have going for you is your ethnic background to use it.
However the race card works both ways some will vote for you because of it and some will not.
A number of people will also resent you trying to play the race card when it shouldn't be and not only not vote for you but actively work against you and those affiliated with you.

  2. Most voters think Ruben Garcia and Carmelo Ramos are the same guy.

  3. Garcia, like a lot of Hispanics, is white; Latino is his ethnicity. One could just as easily say that his approach is anti-European given the ethnic heritage names of his targets, (Portuguese, Italian and German).

Now that Wefer has been at the helm of the HHA board for awhile and doing an amazing job, the residents of the HHA and the 6th ward are now aware of the "soft racism" of the former regime where residents were led to believe the lies they were told and depended on the largesse of those who were robbing them blind who made every program and repair seem like a gift.

For disadvantaging so many minority families for so long, Garcia and his ilk are the true racists.

    1. It has been proven that a reform council candidate can win without any HHA votes so any votes from the HHA would be an added bonus.
Since then the 4th Ward outside of the HAA has grown substantially.

  4. This was after Carmelo charged the mayor with "ethnic cleansing." you know, the mass deportation of minorities out of Hoboken.

    1. Yup, but Carmelo Ramos lives in a fancy million dollar row house in the 6th Ward and if he runs he will not be able to count on the HHA.

  6. Yet Carmelo Garcia took his kids out of Wallace and put them in a predominately white charter school. He basically kicked the HHA kids out of the Boy's and Girl's Club so the "whiter" kids cook take knitting and sewing and play lacrosse.

Carmelo is in it for himself and will kick aside anyone in his way. Many at the hha know this.

Curious to see the vote delivery from the HHA since he is no longer in charge of the locks and keys. Hopefully those good people will see him and Reuben for who they really are and how they always sold them down the river.

    1. He also made sure his wife was on the payroll of that charter school.
