The Smearing of Glatt

It's October 27, 2009.

At 10:23 AM Paul Swibinski of Vision Media emails Hoboken 411.

Vision Media was hired by mayoral candidate Beth Mason for her 2009 race.  Aside from Mason,  two other women were in the running for mayor: Dawn Zimmer and Kimberly Glatt.

At 11:22 AM Hoboken411 forwards the email to Lane "not an operative" Bajardi:

At 12:19 PM,  Mason "business partner" James Barracato emails Lane "not an operative" Bajardi: "Here ya go." The email has an attachment.

Too late, Barracato!

21 minutes earlier, at 11:48 AM, Hoboken411 emailed Lane "not an operative" Bajardi the Glatt foreclosure court documents:

Busy bee, this"not-an-operative" guy!

On October 28, 2009, Hoboken411 breaks the 'Glatt foreclosure' story:

Uh oh, Girlfriend was pissed.

On October 28, 2009 Glatt went to the press, called Hoboken411's story a "smear" and pointed the finger at Beth Mason.

At 5:13 PM on October 28, James Barracato emails that (not-an-operative) "Hoboken couple" Lane Bajardi and Kim Cardinal Bajardi Glatt's statement to the media.

Oh, dear!  Never piss off a judge.

At 5:25 PM, Lane Bajardi forwarded Barracato's "Glatt Response" email to Hoboken411. Bajardi tells Klaussen "There are many ways to refute this. We can do it tomorrow morning."

At 5:30 PM Klaussen responds:

Glatt's response appeared to throw the Mason camp into 'damage control' mode.

At 1:24 AM on October 29, 2009, Beth Mason emailed Paul Swibinski and political operative Ryan Yaaco: "After talking with Ricky if you want to do a spot and feel we need it.  Go for it."

Mason's email began an exchange about doing the "spot."

At 10:28 AM on October 29, 2009, Barracato sent Kim Cardinal Bajardi  the Swibinski  conference call dial-in and unique PIN number, with instructions: "...at 10:30 we all call in."

Read 3-page email from the bottom up

Wasn't Lane Bajardi on the conference call on the morning of October 29? Or was he busy "doing it"...

... then got tied up posting "many ways to refute" Kim Glatt on Hoboken411 under his admitted screen name "Red Haven"?

Wow!  How does Bajardi know Glatt "sentenced" dogs to death? Could he prove that statement in a court of law or is he lying out of his ass?

Here's Lane Bajardi chiming in with... himself, under his admitted screen name"xyzpdq":

Well folks, politics is a dirty business.  Everybody knows that.  And Glatt was right; it was the Mason smear machine.  Nothing done here was illegal.

But Hoboken's 2nd Ward Councilwoman Beth Mason and her teeming swamp of political operatives have taken a dirty game to new lowsOn July 26, 2012, two of her most loyal operatives rose up out of the swamp, posing as an ordinary "Hoboken couple" to file a defamation  lawsuit demanding $2,000,000, claiming posts calling them political operatives were "defamatory." The judge was not fooled, and threw the garbage out before Defendants could present their case.  In the course of this litigation, tens of thousands of documents were produced proving that all verifiable statements were true.

Hence, not only was this litigation a monumentally stupid move politically-speaking, it took breathtaking arrogance and stunning hypocrisy for such persons to file such claims.  As political operative Tom Bertoli phrased it at his January 9, 2014 deposition:

  1. Next up on the chopping block from the "Not an operative" gang..... Kim Glatt!!!

Come on down. You can join other notable Old Skool Hoboken members; "Dopey" Carmelo Garcia, Peter "Sandwich head" Biancamano, "La Famiglia" Russo family, Ines Keim and what will be many more in a train of people that the "Not an operative" gang loves to bash in private.

Sure politics can be rough but the behind the scenes stuff we are seeing here is truly disgusting. All brought to you by the 2nd Ward Councilwoman!

Oh wait, "Keep us out of this" said the Mason Campaign team

  2. I am just taking a wild guess that after this Brian Stack's ex-wife was not going to help Beth Mason get on his Assembly ticket.

Winning friends and influencing people ?

  3. Beth has real integrity?

    Solid experience?

    Real reform?

Beth Mason: Zero integrity, Zero experience, Zero reform ideas. But vote for me or I will sue your ass.

  4. Kim Glatt was a thug in a very respectable position. She abused her powers over and over. Any negative press on this w**** is deserved.

See eventually they eat their own.

  5. Could Lane be any more of a scumbag??? HE wrote the piece to smear Glatt and then he further smears her by implying that it might have been done by someone whose dog was killed by Glatt or someone who got beat up by her boyfriend because of Glatt's negligence.

And this piece of crap Beth Mason has the crust to pose with a Gabby Giffords picture when her own operatives are doing this to her neighbors.

    1. I read the Bajardi complaint. Nothing in there comes close to the vile stuff he wrote about Kim Glatt as Red Haven. HYPOCRITE.

  6. Maybe Mrs Scumbag can run to the NY Post again and shed more fake tears about how her husband is mistreated. The two of them deserve each other. Scum and Scummer.

“They’re vicious people!” Cardinal said of Pincus and co-defendant blogger Roman Brice.

  7. Two thoughts come to mind after reading this:
    1. Dawn Zimmer must be clean as a whistle from birth through her elections, because these people dug up everything they could find on everyone.

    2. What does Beth have to tear herself away from to "make herself available" for a call? The woman has no responsibilities or job, so I'm confused.

  8. The squeaky clean/totally above board "keep us out of it" Swibinski clan must be very happy this morning to be dragged into this sewer of Mason muck and revealed for all to see, through their own words in their own emails.

    Karma, baby.

  9. So who do you think Kimberly Glattt and family will be supporting Beth Mason for re-election in November ?

  10. Wow. Every political op in Hudson County (and perhaps the state) must be coming to GA multiple times a day to read the latest behind-the-scenes news on this whole nasty affair. That, and to see if any of their emails are included.

Lots of HudCo politicos enjoying this drama as it unfolds, and I guarantee there will be lots of very awkward encounters and avoiding of eye contact at future local political events.

  11. Mason will still show up in city council with that shit eating smile on her face as if nothing happened. I see her on Facebook talking about the now $25million surplus. Yesterday I heard lane read a commercial on 1010.

Maybe this is just a dream we're all having. A two year long evil nasty lying dream. But nothing else.

    1. Maybe the reform Council People will mention something tomorrow night??? Like Horse said today in an article they have the city's lawyers there.

"Unlike Hoboken elected officials, residents pay for their attorney fees out of their own pockets.
Who will raise a voice of inquiry on behalf of Hoboken residents after their being SLAPPED?"

Ricky continues to make millions sharing the wealth with Bet and team.

Garcia was recently given a 6 figure job + benefits

Jamie Cryan is racking in a 6 figure salary with bene's

Glatt living it up at the W.

Russo's getting ready for the summer.

Stack is continuing on despite Garcia's recent firings.

Most likely reading this, but at the end of the day they are all making money and moving onward and upward.

  12. I wish I had the balls to go up there and just say, "Councilwoman Mason, I've read a lot of emails from your core supporters, emails that you're copied on and have responded to, and those supporters really seem to hate women and hold the public in disdain. Since you never once refute any of their messages, can I assume that you also hold the general public in disdain? Why do you want to be a councilwoman? I don't understand."

I wonder if she'd sue me faster than I could spell my name for the stenographer.

    1. Council members should be calling her out because she would fry them up and spit them out if the roles were reversed.

Unbelievable that nothing is said or will be said.

    2. The council has always treated bloggers like spies. They love having all this work done and getting all this intell. But push come to shove, they deny all knowledge and will let everyone be executed. Always have, always will. Some are just worse than others.

    3. if the reform cc members don't want confront beth during a meeting, they can write a letter to the HR, or issue a press release statement that would probably get covered on nj.com, politickernj and elsewhere. they can either be strong (demand she resign) or softer (ask her to respond/clarify the info in the emails).

you know mason and terry (or their lackeys) would be writing letters to the editor and co-sponsoring a laundry list of "hereas" bullet points right now if the tables were turned.

i appreciate that reform has more professionalism and class in their baby finger than mason and her crew, but there must be a way to capitalize on this opportunity.

  13. The irony never ends. If/when done decides to drop a dime on Lane Bajardi, Red Haven has already written his epitaph: a long list of people that Lane Bajardi screwed over who would be only too happy to hear Lane got canned. Now you can add Kim Glatt, Paul Swivinski and their loyalists to the list.

Way to go jackass. You actually united the city after all.

  16. What job is that, Lane? The one you claim to have been out of for "a few months" that has your xyzpdq ID so morally outraged at Kim Glatt? The company that went "from world leader to dust"?

You were out of work for 2 1/2 years. Instead of doing anything about it, you spent all your time trying to get dirtbags elected. Don't remember?

Oh, that's right. You're a pathological liar. Can't sue anyone for saying it. They evidence is there for all to see.

  17. So far we have seen in these emails from the SLAPP trial the attempted destruction of the hospital, evidence of the Mayor's stolen emails in some interesting hands, the ghost writing on 411, 411 selling people out and some "not operatives" smearing their own and saying some horrible things about their allies.

If this is what they do to their allies wait til we see what they had to say about the reform council members and any Hoboken citizen who dared serve on a Board or speak up against the countess
