Wow.

If you are unfamiliar with the term"blood diamonds" there may be hundreds of white supremacist, anti-Semitic web sites where you can find it.

To save you the trouble of dumpster-diving (I won't link this trash, you can Google it yourself) here's what it means:

Anti-Semitic trash talk has no place in American political discourse.

THE END.

  1. Wow, this is disturbing. It's impossible to say for certain that Liebler is the avatar behind the "NoFanOfJake" handle, but the resemblances in the language and themes of these two posts are undeniable.

One thing's for sure, the post Liebler made under his own name is about as nasty as it gets, and if he is in fact the "NoFanOfJake" poster, he sure is dragging things into the gutter talking about Jake Stuiver's issues with his landlord. I remember the garbage he went through last year after Hurricane Sandy, his wife was 7 or 8 months pregnant and their apartment was uninhabitable because the landlord kept giving tenants the runaround about cleanup and repair, so the place was a cesspool and unsafe for young kids. I know Jake got many citations issued by the health department but the cleanup was never done properly, so that was a huge factor in why he had to move after his baby arrived.

If Liebler is the one attacking Jake for organizing a rent strike to fight his slumlord, then he is attacking a man for going to the mat to protect the health and safety of his wife and children. Is this the message the Ramos campaign is trying to send to Hoboken's families?

    1. I guess it is. Before the mold in my basement was remediated, we were coughing, the air was terrible. I can't imagine what breathing toxins would do to a pregnant woman and her fetus. That line of attack is simply disgusting.

    1. There is nothing positive about how the Ramos campaign is being conducted. Some people may not be getting their hands dirty but it is still a filthy campaign filled w/ hate.

  8. It's pretty pathetic when backing a losing candidate, in this case the Old Guard's Ruben Ramos, drives one to such ugly actions. It's absolutely appalling what David is doing but now you know why he's with the crew of Ramos, Mason and the Russo clan.

Pretty gross and this guy absolutely loves corruption. So this ugliness is no surprise.

  10. The old guard in Hoboken is very good at finding those needy a bit off people winding them up until they are full blown bat shit crazy and then using them.

  11. In defense of the idiot, blood diamonds is really a more generic term based on the various African tribal controls which end up waging wars to get effective control of the diamond mines. The fact that nutjobs on the internet use the same term to mean something worse is not necessarily what was intended by the post. There is even a Leo DeCaprio movie out called "Blood Diamonds."

    Is he still an idiot...clearly.

    1. Sorry PuzzleOne, this idiot is indefensible. Do you really believe the campaign that gave us Dov Aaronson, cindy goldberg, Daria Gluck and Mark Joo is using a benign reference to 'blood diamonds' about the Mayor's Jewish diamond dealer hubby?

If so, I have a bridge to sell.

I know about blood diamonds, also called 'conflict diamonds'. I doubt this idiot has only the vaguest idea, if any, what the term means. It's more Jew-baiting from the Ramos campaign.

  12. Anyone who is raised in hob or backs someone who was raised in this town is automatically 'old guard' or 'corrupt' but everything reformers do is to just get city back and save it Please! Towns a mess and a leader at least tries to bring opposing sides together and in the 20 yrs ive been here the divide has never been as bad as under their leadership. They enhance stories and personas of negativity and corruption so by default they seem better choice. Sad for our city.

    1. I completely disagree. We dislike people like Russo, Ramos, Garcia, Castellano and many others not because of where they were born but what they have done and because of the character of the people they surround themselves with. But if you want to pretend their conduct and the policies they support aren't the problem because it helps you sleep at night then you are welcome to stay in that state of perpetual denial to sooth your conscience all want but don't ask us to buy into that sort of mentality because we prefer not to go down that dangerous path.

    2. Ridiculous.

The sharpest criticism here goes to Beth Mason and Tim Occhipinti- both 'Old Guard' but neither born and raised in Hoboken.

Kids First Reform Coalition are both born-and-raised (Markle, Sobolov) and not.

I've got pals born here who are clean and honest and don't like what the 'Old Guard' coalition of BnR and 'newcomers' are doing to their city.

  13. B&R does NOT equal "old Guard" Many B&R dislike and distrust the "Old Guard" , which include many many newcomers.

There is and never has been a worse enemy to the B&R then those that claim to protect them. As they smile in your face..

    1. absolutely, they are two different things, and that's a point that has been made on here and MSV many times. while i'm not BnR (only lived here since the mid-80s so still officially a newcomer!), i'm good friends with many of them and know for a fact they really dislike the corrupt old guard. they may differ with the current administration of some issues but realize mayor zimmer is by far their best bet because at the very least, she is fair and honest and puts the interests of city residents above all else.

ask a certain school crossing guard, if you don't believe me. :)

    2. ...and that's the fact that ramos and garcia and their crew just don't get. this ain't the bad old days anymore when everyone was either in on the action or looked the other way, and when "newcomers" didn't care about city politics. it's a whole new ballgame now, ladies.

    3. They work it hard. Pulling on heart strings and whispering about loyality, while they sellout you and their own mother for a couple coins. The real B&R's have seen it too many and aren't falling for it anymore.
