Ruben's Future and Concidences

If you were Ruben Ramos, would you give up that cushy State Assembly seat to run against a wildly- popular Hoboken mayor in the shadow of a Nazi Truck?

Would you?

GA believes that whoever Moves Forward to run against Dawn Zimmer will be sticking his/her head on the chopping block.
Step right up.
So as personal choices go, GA thinks the decision to take on Zimmer is all about risk-reward.  In other words, is what one is risking (for Ruben, his Assembly seat) worth the reward?

For Ramos, is there a reward?

Ramos would walk away from his secure, well-compensated State Assembly seat into what is a very toxic political atmosphere. Reform is stronger than ever- the mayor's won over her detractors by tireless work for Hoboken residents through the disaster, as unanswered questions about who knew what about Move Forward's Nazi Truck hang in the air.

(Does anyone know exactly what Ramos' Chief of Staff did for Move Forward?  The ELEC says "campaign design." Hmmmm.)

So many questions.  So many coincidences.

No one has Moved Forward to 'own' the shameful use of swastikas in a School Board campaign that outraged Hoboken rabbis.  The rabbis have asked the perpetrator(s) to apologize. Why didn't they?  Saying "I'm sorry" isn't hard when you mean it.

So instead of  letting wounds heal, those responsible for this historic use of swastikas in a Hoboken political campaign have let them fester and spread.

We've discovered who some of the perpetrators are.

Tim Brendel, Beth Mason's videographer, has been dispatched to the ZBA since March 27, 2012,  where he'd shoot  an hour or two of footage then leave.  His father, Barry 'Not-Perry' Brendel, would show up separately and sit in the back of the room for a nice nap.  Brendel Sr. is another Mason operative, and father and son commute together to Hoboken from the Princeton area.  GA's been told that Brendel Jr. made the Nazi Truck film. Both Brendels work for Beth Mason.

Mason operative James Barracato orchestrated the Nazi Truck and midnight flyer campaign, according to multiple sources- one, a reporter.  Barracato works for Beth Mason.

Now, most folks forget  that those midnight flyers were the warm-up act to the Nazi Truck.  Thousands of flyers blanketed Hoboken on the morning of September 24, 2012- 2 1/2 weeks before the Nazi Truck looped swastikas at Wallace Primary School. The midnight flyer's content was largely a re-cycling of old anti-GA talking points made at the City Council by another notorious Mason political operative.

Except for this part:

WOW! That lawsuit against the entire Reform blogosphere in the run-up to the School Board election but specifically targeting GA.  How did THAT lawsuit get on the Barracato-Mason flyer for the Move Forward campaign?

 Isn't that interesting?

And that lawsuit also ended up on the Move Forward Nazi Truck!

So did this:

left: Nazi truck outside of Wallace Primary School.  right: Lane Bajardi at the City Council on November 15, 2010.  Bajardi created the board from a GA graphic which he placed next to a Nazi film poster, then told the City Council at the televised meeting asking that I be "condemned"  numerous times.

Hey, that's the guy- Lane Bajardi- who filed the lawsuit against GA and the Reform blogosphere in the run-up to the School Board election!

What a coincidence!  I noticed a few more of those:

  • On November 15, 2010 Bajardi spoke these words at the City Council:  "Pincus...  should be condemned by this Council" and "this behavior must be condemned" and  Actually, Bajardi used the word "condemn" 5 times that night in his speech.   And he asked whether the City Council "condoned"my "behavior."
  • On September 24, 2012 the midnight flyer said that if Kids First doesn't "condemn Pincus' behavior, they condone it"
  • On October 16, 2012 the Nazi Truck video said it's time for Mayor Zimmer and the City Council  to "take a stand" because "if they don't condemn it, they condone it"

Purely coincidental, I'm sure.
  • Bajardi spoke these words to the City Council on November 15, 2010, "Councilman Cunningham, what do you say about the way your friend and webmaster is representing you, here, now. [Points to easel]"
  •  The Nazi Truck video spoke these words on October 16, 2012: "Pincus is the website designer for 5th Ward Councilman Peter Cunningham..."
Another coincidence!

Only, I'm not.  Never was.

Bajardi and the Nazi Truck are the only ones who have ever made that obscure Cunningham web site reference.

Oh yeah, and Hoboken411.

In early 2010, I started (but never finished) a site for Cunningham's 2011 campaign.  It was last modified on July 2010.  Klaussen posted the directory information for iHaus.com (a domain I own) with a screenshot of the unfinished site. He published my street address and telephone number, too even though I have a young child at home.

Such coincidences are interesting.  But here's the most interesting coincidence.

The visual aid Bajardi created and presented to the City Council on December 15, 2010- my graphic put next to a Nazi film poster- was on the Move Forward Nazi Truck!  (You recall GA took the original graphic down and apologized after realizing it was offensive).

Hey, Lane Bajardi's presentation board was photographed by Tim Brendel for the Nazi truck video!

How did Brendel get it

Does Brendel consider this 'film' political work?  Did he get paid for it or is he a really nice guy who attends ZBA meetings an hour from home and makes political videos for free?  Was Dad involved in the Nazi Truck video, too?  At least he must have known about it- he was there when Jr. filmed me for the truck.  Was any video editing done at Move Forward's headquarters (Mason's Washington Street offices)?  What did Beth Mason know and when did she know it and what did she pay for it and where is it showing on her ELECs? How did this lawsuit come to be a central political campaign issue on the Barracato-Mason midnight flyers and on the Nazi Truck?

GA has a lot of questions.  For Tim Brendel.  And Barry Brendel. And Barracato. And Beth Mason.

And others.

Sharpen your pencils!

Speaking of others, WHO is running against Dawn Zimmer?  Ruben Ramos?  I hear he's quite talented and he is good-looking.

But, if my Dark Side friends don't mind a little advice... I would leave Ruben alone and run Timmy.

Let's face it,  you guys need to run someone expendable.  Ramos' head on the block?  Why?  Ramos loses his seat and gets knocked around, so what good comes of it?  What about funding?  Mason 'help' comes with her helpers. Yikes.

Timmy would be perfect.  He's a young, energetic guy... and can remain on the City Council through the campaign.  He's feisty- doesn't mind getting in an opponent's face and barking inappropriate and disrespectful remarks.  He ain't the sharpest tool in the tool box, but the important thing is he is a tool.  Your tool.  What have you got to lose?  Not Timmy.  He can only outperform expectations.

Why would you put anyone up with a real political future? Like Ruben (if his aide comes clean about  Move Forward's 'campaign design'- what did he DO?)

Think about it, Dark Side people.

Tim Occhipinti for Mayor.
