More Old Guard Sticky Fingers at the BoE

Jeez, a disingenuous SLAPP suit, then a midnight flyer, then a star turn on a notorious misanthrope's cyber-cemetery...

Personal vendetta not-withstanding,  the OTHER reason a Hoboken mom (me) is being harassed so publicly is to stop you from reading this post.

With the Nov. 6th election around the corner, GA's been showing you some of the jaw-dropping abuses by the Old Guard backers of BoE slate Move Forward when they ran Hoboken's Board of Education.  Starting with the 297-page 2005-2006 School Board audit  detailing shocking misappropriation of school  money when Frank Raia was School Board President and Carmelo Garcia was his VP.

2012: Raia is the Treasurer of Move Forward, and Board Trustee  Garcia is a fervent Move Forward supporter.

So why is the Move Forward campaign running this uber-nasty attack on a public school mom/blogger?

Because since last April, GA's been posting line items from the 2005-2006 BoE audit; like dropping crumbs through a forest to lead you to one conclusion:  the Old Guard used the BoE's money like a private piggy bank which is why they want it BACK.

Make no mistake; Move Forward are proxies for the Old Guard to take back the BoE.

In case you are not buying the Old Gurad 'piggy bank' hyperbole, take a look:

WOW!  The Old Guard School Board dipped their sticky fingers into our kids education money and pulled out almost $3,000!  The Old Guard took this 'cash' OUT of the classrooms to pay for meals, flowers, "parts", "medical waste" (they purchased it?)...

Don't take it from me, here's what the audit said:
Petty cash was used to reimburse several employees for expenses such as the following: meals, hazardous and medical waste, and parts.  Other reimbursements were not explained.

Meals and flower arrangements do not benefit the students and there is no educational value.    No invoices and/or receipts were provided for the employee reimbursements.
More meals?  Didn't Bookend taxpayers already pay for BoE steak dinners at Frankie & Johnny's?  Didn't enough cash already get taken from our classrooms to pay for the Old Guard BoE's fancy steak meals?

Apparently NOT.

Because here's ANOTHER Petty Cash withdrawal from our classrooms by the powers behind Move Forward:

page 235- 2005-2006 BoE audit
Holy cow, that's almost a total of $6,000 sucked out of our budget for 'petty cash' by Board members who thought that money should pay for their meals and other "discretionary" expenses!

Now, why do you THINK the Hoboken Reporter NEVER wrote about ANY of this?

The same reason why The Hoboken Reporter has bashed the crap out of a Hoboken mom for Beth Mason and her political operatives so they could use it in their Move Forward campaign Flyer?

Because unlike the Kids First majority BoE,  the2005-2006  Old Guard BoE was THIS generous to The Hoboken Reporter:

And THAT kind of loyalty gets you THIS kind of "HELP":

Move Forward attacks a Hoboken mom with HELP.  WHY DOESN'T TH HR WRITE ABOUT OLD GUARD ABUSES OF PUBLIC SCHOOL MONEY?

Tired of dirty campaigns?  Want to elect people who don't make school funds disappear?

Kids First is working to make our schools great; to turn them around after years of abuse and neglect.

VOTE FOR A CLEAN SCHOOL BOARD.
