Manure du Jour

Technically speaking this post (title loosely translated to 'crap of the day') is in reference to yesterday's manure du jour served  at  cyber-sewer Hoboken411-- now mercifully buried under a fresh, steaming pile.

GA doesn't usually bother debunking any of the whoppers over there; so numerous are they that picking a single one would be like choosing your favorite spore in an Anthrax-filled petri dish. And sensible folks take pains to avoid such biohazardous material.  Or at least take the proper precautions before messing with it.

Including me.  This what I wore before going there today:

GA dons biohazard suit and gas mask prior to visiting Hoboken411. This type of gear is advisable when dumpster diving, handling  biohazardous or radioactive agents, for the casual dabbler in germ warfare,  and for visiting Perry Klaussen's web site.

Yet the rare accidental visitor may be unaware that Hoboken411 is no longer the open, decent and diverse place it was several years ago before it became a lie-factory; the propaganda wing of the Beth Mason war on  Dawn Zimmer.  It's to them I speak.

So here are selected Klaussen whoppers and their deconstruction by yours truly.

Klaussen Whooper #1- Jean-Marie Mitchell (incumbent BoE candidate on Kids First slate) is technically on the Markle/Minutillo team, but is just as much at home with Garcia and company.

GA response: (play 5-second video)

GA knows Jean Marie very well.  Klaussen, what are you smoking?  Not sure where you found that carbuncle but GA must lance it to let the pus out.  Folks, perhaps he went off his meds again.  Take my word: Jean Marie not only stands with Kids First, she IS Kids First.

Klaussen Whoppers #2 -more

Steven Feinstein (BoE candidate on Kids First slate) is a friend and supporter of Michael Lenz. For many people that will be all they need to know about him. Feinstein’s only known political activity involves writing a letter dripping with praise for Lenz prior to the November special election.

GA response: (play7-second video)

What a shithead this guy is.  First, the BoE is a non-partisan body not a political one.  Using 'political activity' as criteria for selecting School Board members is like choosing a doctor because he can knit. I don't know Feinstein, but I've heard about him (unlike the dimwit Klaussen) and he's got exactly the kind of experience to serve on our School Board. What I know:
  •  He served as President of the Elysian Charter School board for four years.
  •   He's a program coordinator for the Consortium for Worker Education, developing and administering an adult financial education program.
  • He's got 2 kids in our school system:  one  at Elysian Charter, the other  at Hoboken High School.
Other stuff that's not germane to the work on the BoE but shows him to be a caring, decent guy is his volunteer work taking care of unwanted animals at the Liberty Humane Society.  And he's a lawyer in private practice, no dummy.

As for tarring him because he may know and may like Mike Lenz... anyone who gives a rat's ass about that fact is below the minimum required mental capacity to read a ballot form, so Kids First has nothing to worry about.

Klaussen Whopper # (um... last one):

If right now you’re saying “Who?” you’re not alone. Clifford Godfrey (BoE candidate on Kids First slate) will be running on the Markle/Minutillo ticket with Feinstein and Mitchell, but nobody seems to know much about him.

A little checking shows he is a Stevens Institute graduate who works for the Newark Downtown Core Redevelopment program, which means he has political ties to Mayor Cory Booker.

GA response: (play 3-second video)

Don't tell me Klaussen is smearing this accomplished African-American member of the National Society of Black Engineers, coach in the Stevens Summer Youth Basketball Camp, who's a loving dad of a little girl who'll be attending a Hoboken school in a few years because... of where he works?  What sort of guilt-by-association sleaze is Hoboken411 dealing to this qualified, caring member of our community who wants to serve our district's children?

Well,  this could go on all day.  But who has all day?

One thing's for certain: such a  poisonous assault on these 3  is guaranteed to backfire on Klaussen's main advertiser and benefactoress, Beth Mason.

Last time I checked, Kids First had received strong support from the voters in the 2nd Ward, so this kind of gratuitous nastiness won't be well-received by that ward's voting block of parents and concerned taxpayers.

So I suppose that's the upside to the tsunami of  Klaussen trash that's bound to wash up as the April 27 BoE election nears.

  1. In May, I trust that the voters of Hoboken have enough sense to rid the political landscape of Bet mazin. Perhaps then, she may get the hint - NO BODY LIKES YOU OR WILL VOTE FOR YOU FOR DOGCATHCER! With Bet off the political radar screen and throwing tons of cash around, she has no need to support that rag Mason411.com. Without it, perhaps we will be rid of the coninuous charatcer assasination of anyone who dares to rasie their hand and want to get involved in community service without having first asked Der Klaussen if it was ok. Ugh, they are wretched people.

  2. Read the crap on Patch. We all have to hit pavement for Kids First and the reformers. It's ok to blog, but that doesn't get the job done. Get involved for your and Hoboken's sake.
