Poop Jihadi

:
It looks like the poop-fanatic's obsession has taken a serious and dangerous turn- from a public safety and law enforcement perspective. And I say this with no particular joy, being in the cross-hairs of one so completely incapable of mastering his impulses and emotions.

Within 24 hours of attacking Roman Brice (Da Horsey of Mile Square View) at the BoE Debate on Monday night, he marched unashamed up to the podium at last night's School Board meeting, and proceeded to rant bout ME, walking over to Board members with color copies of the 'turd-graphic', refusing to obey the Board President, Rose Markle's orders to stop his tirade, and only sat down when the School Board's attorney advised Ms. Markle she had the right to call law enforcement to intercede and subdue the out-of-control audience member.

I wish to remind readers that I did not pick a fight with this individual (or 411); he chose to download the graphic, then tote it to public meetings to berate me, spread my name on message boards, and, I suppose, try to stop this blog. For what? A question a rational mind would ponder.

So how does one deal with bullies? Well, it's always been my belief to stand up to them. But after this unprovoked assault on Roman, and the escalation of public harassment to the point where the School Board attorney recommended police intervention, this situation may be beyond my meager efforts on this blog. He may not be an ordinary bully, but a public menace, a dangerous person. I have a young child to think about.

Advice from readers is welcome. Has anyone had experience with a stalker?

Original post, April 10, 2010:
Our Voltaire-quoting friend downloads it, posts it on 411, carries photocopies of it to City Council meetings, hands them out to City Council members and the local press, blogs about it over at Revolt under the moniker 'truthseeker'... does he have a scatological obsession or is he a warrior on a poop jihad?

We report, you decide.

Comments

  1. Maybe it's time he ditched Voltaire and picked-up a copy of Freud's work. On the other hand a Freud inspired rant by "our friend" at city council won't help shorten meetings although it would make for terrific entertainment. I can just imagine his future video rants against Zimmer, "stop hiding your Electra complex!"

  2. Haven't laughed that hard in.... since maybe the last visit here.
Think I have a little of that in the medicine cabinet for special occasions.

Now it'll never be the same. Might as well toss the rest down the drain.
    Obsession ruined forever!

  3. The laughter (unintentional) and obsession continues on Revolt where Lane B. is denying being the "truthseeker" (who is curiously posting simultaneously) but funnily just like "truthseeker" Lane B. cannot stop talking about the poop. Although to be fair to Lane he employs a wide vocabulary when speaking about all things scatological. Jihadi indeed!

  4. He's not well.

I could go on at some length about what's wrong. There are only shades of difference between what is socially acceptable and succeeds for whatever length of time and what is unacceptable and fails. I have worked for guys whose narcissism and immaturity could produce positive results from one quarter to the next - sometimes for a few years. The same behaviors - a few clicks further to one side - are to be found in chronic failures. The hostility of those who can see this paradox and are -by their few clicks- on the wrong side of it should never be underestimated. The forms the hostility can assume when a man glimpses middle age and sees that the game us unlikely to ever turn his way are a favorite subject of cheesy news magazines. Dateline: Hoboken. Friends and acquaintances say they always knew he was passionate about his politics but never dreamed...

Start here - are these vendettas or political differences? If they are political differences, why is the behavior so puerile? Politicians are forced to make ethical compromises. But private citizens can afford to be ethically consistent. Is a consistent sense of right and wrong on display? Are the politics of Dawn Zimmer the obsession - or is she simply the vehicle for the obsession? Are you the vehicle now? Why is the vehicle never a male? Why was so much of the ire for the jointly sponsored #39 directed at the female co-sponsor?

    Look out for yourself, eh?

  5. Well, info's nailed it, as usual....

  6. Thanks, Info.

I've decided to sweep this person out of my mind, and my blog. The record is there, but my spirit won't be crippled by his pathology, which you've figured out. Onto things which have hope.

Have you seen the cherry blossoms in full bloom? So beautiful.

  7. Yes, it is a beautiful day and I was happy to have your little Avenger hang with my little hullabaloo in the sun. I must confess we did talk about politics: mostly how happy they will be to have their parents back after the election. I don't think they entirely agreed with my argument that it's good that we're working to keep the school strong; they are children after all. But it's no surprise that we have civic minded off-spring!

  8. Thank you, hullabaloo, for the hand and also for the Little Avenger's ice cream which was described to me in vivid detail, including emphatic 'mmmmms' and lip-smacking.

I've got your back anytime, anywhere, hullabaloo.
